BAHAWALPUR – South Punjab’s Additional Chief Secretary Capt (ret’d) Saqib Zafar on Saturday inaugurated the first veterinary clinic set up at Bahawalpur Cattle Hospital.
South Punjab Breeding Secretary Aftab Ahmed Pirzada, Breeding Director Amir Mahmood Bukhari, Additional Breeding Director Syed Muhammad Sabteen, ADIO Dr Sohail Khan and Deputy Breeding Director Dr Sohail Azmat were present on the occasion. The additional chief secretary was told during the briefing that the best pet and bird treatment facility was only available at this pet hospital by paying a slip fee.
Later, the additional chief secretary, Captain (retired) Saqib Zafar, planted Ashoka in the greenery of the cattle hospital. He called for as many trees as possible to be planted during the monsoon tree planting campaign to make the environment greener.
Meanwhile, South Punjab’s Additional Chief Secretary, Capt (ret’d) Saqib Zafar, visited Batol Dairy Farm at Chak No 30 BC Bahawalpur and inspected the ongoing FMD vaccination. The additional chief secretary also vaccinated a cow against foot-and-mouth disease.
South Punjab Breeding Secretary Aftab Ahmed Pirzada, Breeding Director Amir Mahmood Bukhari, Additional Breeding Director Syed Muhammad Sabteen and Ahmed Chaudhry were also present on the occasion. The additional chief secretary appreciated the performance of the officers and staff of the breeding department. He promised to make the Bahawalpur division a disease free zone. He said ten doses of the vaccine would be administered to protect the animals against foot-and-mouth disease while the eighth dose of the foot-and-mouth disease vaccine was currently being administered.
