The Humane Society of Southeast Missouri is bringing the largest mobile pet adoption event to the region later this month.
The third edition of the Humane Society of Southeast Missouri Pet Expo and Fall Festival will be held on September 25 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Arena Park in Cape Girardeau.
The family-friendly event will feature over 20 booths from local business vendors and food vendors including Mississippi Mutts, Canine Clipz, Skyview Animal Clinic, Rufus Red Hots and more. Fall-themed raffles and games such as cornhole, pucks, ladder golf and more will also be available for animal lovers of all ages.

With adoptable pets from multiple rescues, the Pet Expo and Fall Festival host the region’s largest mobile pet adoption event, to be held inside the Arena building and at outside the park.
Participants are encouraged to wear masks or face coverings when they are unable to socially distance themselves.
Entrance fee is a $ 5 donation, and children 10 and under are free. All proceeds from the Pet Expo and Fall Festival will benefit the Humane Society of Southeast Missouri, with funds earmarked for the completion of the new facility in addition to promoting the pet rescue mission.
The Humane Society of Southeast Missouri is an independent, non-profit organization “dedicated to improving the lives of pets and people in Southeast Missouri,” helping over 2,500 animals stay off the streets every year, according to its website.
