Pleasant Animal Shelter announces that more than 350 animals will be transported from El Paso to California, New Jersey and Wisconsin, thanks to efforts of BISSELL Pet Foundation, Animal Rescue Corps, University of Florida Maddie Shelter Medicine Program, City of El Paso Animal Services and Suite. It is the largest transport effort in the history of the BISSELL Pet Foundation and one of the largest in the history of pet rescue.

Mount. Pleasant Animal Shelter is pleased to partner with this historic transport, coordinate field efforts in New Jersey, and create a network for the placement of approximately 130 dogs. Jessica Garrison, Shelter Manager at Mt. Pleasant Animal Shelter is leading the effort here in New Jersey. Garrison travels to El Paso, TX to chaperone the return flight to Morristown, New Jersey on Friday, July 2, 2021. Shelters from as far away as Rhode Island are joining us in New Jersey to help receive at-risk animals from the overcrowded refuge of El Paso.
